I’ve been making personalised cushions for my friends and family but can make for others of course.
I free motion sew the details to the front of the cushion and the backs have been plain.
The cushions can be square, rectangle, round …and you can choose, within reason, what you would like me to sew on the front.
I make the cushion inner pad using the reclaimed wadding from the sofas I have been upcycling. The backs of the cushions are usually made using new sofa samples from a local sofa store. And the fronts are often reclaimed fabrics too - such as curtain linings.
I’ll include a few pics of the cushions I have made. The first was for my daughter - she had drawn the image on the wedding invite and so I replicated that. Emma is a bee keeper so I added bees to the front of her and Matt’s. The 2 with leaves matched the design on their invitations.
Mine have, so far, been for weddings mainly but I could make them for a whole range of celebrations; wedding, anniversaries, baby births, family Christmas, engagement, bereavement etc.
