My local sofa store has given my its old leather sofa samples to use.
This small bag is made from 4 of those small samples, plus a little section of cheetah printed hair on cowhide. It is lined with reclaimed plain jade green fabric. I added a long adjustable webbing strap, so can use used as a shoulder or cross body bag. It’s detachable so you could swap it out for another strap if you wanted to change the look of the bag. Silver coloured hardware including the turn lock to the front of the bag.
Please note there are no pockets, inside or out. Because the bag is small, you really can’t lose anything within it.
This leather is new leather but was destined for landfill. The shop has been throwing away all its samples until the staff realised I could upcycle them into something beautiful and useful. Also note that the hair on hide is a natural material - the hair isn’t always ‘perfect’. This bag there is a thinner part of hair, see last picture.
