When I buy industry waste leather, each off-cut is either too small to be seen as useful or has chalk marks on it to indicate where an imperfection is. These marks usually wash off and I work around the imperfect bits. However on this tan piece the chalk left a slight mark where it had been.
The leather is such beautiful quality I still wanted to use it. I added spots and contrast stitching over the marks on the front and back panel of the bag.
There is a mark on the base - see close up pic. I don’t think this detracts from the bags uniqueness and reminds us of its sustainable ethos - being made from leather heading to landfill.
The lining has matching spots. Fixed length leather strap (75 cm). Brass coloured hardware. Zip closure . One internal zipped pocket.
